Routine appointments can be made at the surgery’s reception desk, by telephoning the surgery on 01246 277973 or online via the link at the top of this page (registration required).
As the telephone system is very busy between 8am and 9am you may prefer to phone after 9am, unless you require a same day appointment.
Appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance. Appointments are booked at 10 minute intervals so if you have more than one problem it is advisable to book a double appointment.
If you cannot keep your appointment for whatever reason please ring to cancel it.
Same Day Appointments
For emergencies and consultations that cannot wait for a routine appointment we will endeavour to give you an appointment on the same day. You may not necessarily be able to see the doctor of your choice.
Please remember in a life threatening emergency to call 999.
If all the appointments for the day are booked the receptionist may ask you to give a brief outline of the problem. This is to ensure that appropriate action can be taken to address your problem. However, you are not obliged to disclose any medical information to them should you not wish to.
Please help us and other patients needing emergency attention, by not requesting repeat certificates or repeat prescriptions in same day appointments.
We are currently offering extended hours for a number of pre-booked appointments only on most Mondays from 6:30pm. This day can be subject to change so please contact the surgery for more details.
Additional Appointments: We are currently running a pilot scheme jointly with Avenue House Surgery in Chesterfield whereby we are offering additional late night appointments Monday to Friday from 18:30 - 20:00 and weekends from 09:00am - 12:00pm. Please Note these appointments will be held at Avenue House Surgery. All appointments are pre booked, please telephone Hasland Medical Centre to arrange an appointment.
If you would like a telephone consultation or advice from the doctor or nurse please request an appointment by phoning the surgery.
As the telephone system is very busy between 8am and 9am you may find it easier to phone after 9am, unless it is an emergency, in which case please make this clear to the receptionist.
From time to time we have medical students observing and seeing patients under supervision. It is entirely optional and prior permission will always be gained.
